Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Jones of Climax are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jerilyn Kate Jones, to Garrett Tyson Pitts of Venice, Florida. Jerilyn is the granddaughter of the late Lewis and Mildred Jones of Climax, and the late Eldron and Christine Whigham of Cairo.

Garrett is the son of Toney Pitts of Brookhaven, Ga. and Katherine Arnold of Clermont, Fla. He is the grandson of Nancy Pitts and the late John Douglas Pitts II of Richmond, Va., and Dr. John Arnold and Jolene Smith of Windermere, Fla.

Jerilyn is a 2014 graduate of Bainbridge High School and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from The University of Georgia in 2018. Jerilyn most recently obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in May 2021. She is currently working as a physical therapist in Sarasota, Florida with a focus on cardiopulmonary and neurological diagnoses in the geriatric population.

Garrett is a 2014 graduate of Riverwood High School. Garrett graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership in December 2021. He is an account executive with global software company, LEAP Legal Software.

The couple is planning a March 12, 2022 wedding at Shiloh Farm in Tallahassee, Florida. Formal invitations to be received by mail.
