Shirley Ann Whigham, age 80, of Blountstown, Florida, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022.
The Graveside Service was held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Oak City Cemetery.

Shirley Ann was born May 18, 1942, in Bainbridge, Georgia, the daughter of Bowen Willis Sharber and Vivian Pauline Huckeba Sharber. She graduated from Bainbridge High School with the class of 1960. She attended Brevard Community College where she earned her Associates Degree. After raising her children, she attended the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, Maryland, where she received her degree in Political Science. Shirley Ann received her love of politics from her father. As soon as she finished High School she couldn’t wait to travel and see the world. She traveled to many different places, including Israel, India, Cypress, and Spain. Shirley Ann loved touring the world with her children and introducing them to new places and cultures. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, Benjamin Whigham of Orlando, Fla., Rachel Smith (Matthew) of Ava, Mo., and Cheryll Ann Whigham of Melbourne, Fla.; step children, Sarah Mills and James Whigham; grandchildren, Micah, Jared, Emily, Jesse, Kyle, Caroline, Faith, Hannah, and Aaron; brother, Richard L. Sharber; and one nephew, Richard Sharber.
Shirley Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Franklin Whigham; her parents; and her daughter, Christina Whigham Jarrell.
