Alice Clara Hurley, age 78, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at her home in McAlpin, Florida surrounded by her loving family.  Services for Mrs. Hurley will be held at 2 :00 pm, Saturday, November 19, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.  Pastor Scott Creasy will officiate. Bobby Morano, Seth Hurley, Mike Perrea, Zack Gioconda, Collin Duvernois, and Caleb Hurley will serve as pallbearers.  James Russell will serve as an honorary pallbearer.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1 :00 pm.

Alice Clara Hollenbeck was born September 20, 1944, in Arcadia, Florida.  Her parents, Arthur Hollenbeck and Nonie Lee Moore Hollenbeck have preceded her in death.  Alice grew up in Tarpon Springs, Florida.  On July 2, 1962, she married the love of her life, Jack Taylor Hurley, Sr.  They were married for 57 years before his death in 2020.  Alice was a strong, Christian women.  She loved to read her Bible and prayed diligently for her family.  She was a devoted and loving mother.  She and Jack raised their family and considered Palm Harbor, Florida their home. She not only loved her children but her family and friends unconditionally.  She loved to sing.  Alice was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Palm Harbor, Florida.  A wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend, Alice Hurley will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Hurley is survived by her children, Jackie Perrea (Mike), Joe Hurley (Betty), Jeff Hurley, James Hurley (Donna), Jennifer Gioconda (Mike), Jack Hurley, Jr. (Wenonah), and Nancy Robbins; 32 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Grace Schmidt, Mary Ann Patterson, Mae Smith, and Betty Carroll.
