UPDATE: The sheriff’s office has confirmed the inmate has been recaptured.

Inmate Joe Nathan Wallace escaped from the Decatur County Courthouse earlier this morning.  Law enforcement is currently searching the area for Wallace. His charges include

• Driving Without A Valid License – Misdemeanor
• Fleeing Or Attempting To Elude Police Officer
• No Insurance
• Failure To Obey Traffic Control Device
• Unsafe Operation Of Radio Or Telephone – Distracted Driving
