Parts of Bainbridge lost power Thursday morning, though not due to the weather this time, as a car struck and snapped a power line on Shotwell Street overnight. City Hall was able to keep the lights on, but was left without phone and internet service, while surrounding residences were left with no power altogether. Georgia Power work crews were on the scene early Thursday morning to remove and replace the damaged pole, while fiber teams worked to restore internet connection to customers. The new pole was in place and power was restored by that afternoon.
