This Monday marked the anniversary of 9/11. As a day when so many first responders lost their lives in the line of duty, Morningside Baptist Church recognized local first responders by providing them with a barbecue lunch. This marked the first time the church has held this event, and according to Pastor Jimmy Dean, the church is looking to offer it annually. “We just want to be an encouragement to all of our first responders, to let them know how much we appreciate what they do for us, and to let them know that Morningside is here for them.
