Born on January 6, 1933, in Bainbridge, Georgia, Frances Anne Williams was the only child of Hugh Baxter Williams and Carolyn Smith. She was lovingly known by her friends and family as “Annie” or “Nana.”
Annie worked as a stewardess for Delta Airlines before becoming a homemaker. She moved to Broken Arrow with her husband, Virgil Waller, and their three children in 1980, and became a pillar of the community upon her arrival. Some years after Virgil’s death, she married Don Neal of Tulsa, who also preceded her in death. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Broken Arrow, PEO, and also devoted much of her time to volunteering with the Assistance League of Tulsa.
Nana’s main hobby was acquiring friends and she never met a stranger as she traveled the world. Her friends from all over were friends for life. In true Nana fashion, she went to be with Jesus with all of her family around her and the Hallmark channel on.
She is survived by her three children Eric Waller and his wife, Cindy; Dr. Mark Waller, and his wife, Melissa; and Amy Anne, and her husband, Dr. Jim Ford; her seven grandchildren: Erin Coleman, Dr. Garrett Waller and his wife Heather, Alexa and her husband Bradan Mitchell, Katherine and her husband Ben Birney, Christian Waller, Maximum Waller and his wife Nicole, and Miles Waller; great-grandson Davis; and bonus son Buddy Neal, and his wife Maggie.
A celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Broken Arrow at 2:00pm on Saturday, November, 25, 2023. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Assistance League of Tulsa.
