A small crowd of 11 art enthusiasts met at the Firehouse Art Gallery Thursday evening for February’s Paint Party. Held on the last Thursday of the month, unlike the Firehouse’s So So Van Gogh art workshops, which included snacks and wine, Paint Party sessions are usually smaller, with attendees bringing their own food and drinks. Thursday night’s class was led by Priscila Spat, with participants following along with her painting of the Eiffel Tower. Canvases are provided by the Firehouse, pre-sketched and ready to be painted.
With February now over, the next major event on the Firehouse’s schedule are three workshops scheduled during Rivertown Days, focusing on painting, line art and photography, respectively. The next Paint Party is scheduled for March 28, as is their next social hour, with several artists from the current “Southern Landscapes” gallery planned to attend.
