Havana is the place to be on Saturday, March 30th. There will be a free Arts & Craft Bazaar with 50 vendors and food trucks selling their wares. In addition, there will be numerous artisans demonstrating how they make their work: pine needle baskets, murals, caricatures, drawing, weaving, polymer clay, and so much more. Also, there will be free mini classes which you can register for online at HavanaMainStreet.com. You can learn the art of omiyage, which is Japanese hand sewing of a small “souvenir”. Participants will make a small flower pouch. In a second sewing class, you can make a “mug rug” or small fabric coaster. Two classes will be offered in using chalk paint to paint furniture. You can also weave a bookmark. Class sizes are limited, and you must pre-register. There will be a free Kids Zone with the opportunity to make crafts, along with a story time, and sidewalk chalk painting. In addition to the festival, plan to shop in all of the cute, unique stores that Havana is noted for. Bring the family and spend a fun day in the lovely historic town of Havana, Florida.
