The Bearcats fell to Miller County 3-2 on Monday afternoon. Bainbridge was a 10-point tie-breaker away from securing the victory.
Both doubles teams went into tiebreakers. Gamble Tabb and Evan Brock won the sudden death period as the Doubles 2 team, but Tucker Surratt and Mitchell Carter weren’t as fortunate in Doubles 1.
“It was a tough loss,” Bell said. “It’ll give us that extra fight we need. We definitely have the capabilities to win this match.”
The Bearcats take on Cairo in their next match on Wednesday, Mar. 20. Bell said the Cairo rivalry doesn’t run as deep in tennis, but it was still a date they had circled on the schedule.
“If it’s Cairo, we want to beat them,” Bell said. “They got to take one on the nose.”
