The Bainbridge Rotary Club met at the Kirbo Center on Tuesday for its weekly meeting. The guest speaker for the day was Delrose Betts, head of the Agape Shoppe nonprofit in Bainbridge. After a video presentation about the background of the Agape Shoppe, Betts spoke to the club about the shop’s involvement in helping care for foster kids. The store accepts new or mostly-new clothing, but Betts added, “they need to be something a kid would be proud wearing.”
The Agape Shop provides clothing and necessities for children of all ages, from diapers to daily clothes, and have helped supply even things like book bags and bunk beds. The Agape Shop is located at 115 Clay Street, and is affiliated with the Bainbridge First Baptist Church.
