The Ladycats fell 0-3 to Westminster School in the third round of the GHSA 4A state playoffs. The loss ends Bainbridge’s season.
“I’m just so proud of them,” said Ladycats head coach Xavier Bell. “ There was growth from everybody. From first match to last match, I can definitely say that there’s been vast improvements everywhere in every position.”
The Ladycats made it to the quarterfinal round with a 4-1 win over Howard High School on Monday, April 22.
Bainbridge entered the playoffs as Region 1-4A champions after a dominant regular season. The team didn’t drop a game against region opponents.
The team loses one senior to graduation, Brooklyn Wade. Going into next season, all three returning singles players will be juniors, and the three returning doubles players will be seniors.
