Funeral services for Joy Ann Turner, 73, of Blakely, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jim Thomaston will officiate.  Interment will be in Banks Cemetery, 1196 Stagecoach Road, Pelham, GA  31779.  Mrs. Turner passed away at her home on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Johnson, Eric White, Luke Usry, Josh Skipper, Aaron Busby and Wyatt Usry.

Mrs. Turner was born on February 4, 1951, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late O’Neal Cumbie and Doris Elizabeth Palmer Cumbie.  She was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Vada, GA and made contributions to Family Worship Center.

Joy loved her family and adored her husband, Larry, of 53 years.  She never missed a chance to have them all together. Some of her favorite things were her animals, working in her flowers and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: her children, Renee Skipper (Eric) of Blakley, GA, Angela Elizabeth Turner (Doug) of Blakely, GA, LaWayne Turner of Tallahassee, FL, Michelle Usry (Luke) of Blakley, GA; grandchildren, Joshua Skipper (Kelly), Emily Busby (Aaron), Andrew Turner, Hannah Turner, Brody Turner, Isabella Turner, Addie Usry, Wyatt Usry, Charley Usry; and great-grandchildren, Mae Busby, Jeda Busby, and Connor Skipper; sister, Gwyn Duncan (Wright) of Climax, GA; brothers, Roger Cumbie (Gennie) of Cairo, GA, Mark Cumbie of Climax, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Willie Larry Turner.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
