Nancy Louise Owens Suber, 84, passed away peacefully at her beloved home on Lake Seminole on September 28, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Hopewell Methodist Church (1131 Drane Smith Road Bainbridge, GA) with a luncheon for family and friends following at the church fellowship hall. Pastor Emory Smith will be officiating.

Nancy was born February 19,1940 in Quincy Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter Durwood and Sally “Jewel” Priest Owens and a brother John Durwood Owens.  She was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1959.  She graduated from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia in 1962 with a B.A. degree in History.  She worked for many years in the Quincy State Bank Trust Department and also at A.G. Edwards Stockbrockers in Tallahassee, Florida. 

Nancy was very artistic. In her free time, she enjoyed oil painting, drawing and needlepoint.  She loved cooking and entertaining friends and family. In her later years Nancy became interested in her family history and traced her family roots all the way back to the Mayflower! She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Confederacy. She also assisted others with tracing their genealogy.

Survivors include her son, Hank Suber and his wife, Sherry; her daughters, Ginny Suber and Hallie Suber Prince and her husband, Ricky Prince, all of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Trey & Cassi Suber, Maclane Suber, Gene & Sarah Pfund, and Bailey Prince; her great grandchildren, Delta Hauenstein, Lilly & Bellamy Suber, and Gene Pfund V, Saydee & Meredith Pfund of Yorktown, VA; her sister- in-law, Kay Smith Owens of Fowlstown; her nieces, Tannye Owens Rogers and her husband, Monroe, of Havana and Beth Brown and her husband, Wade, of Sopchoppy; and her nephew Tee Rude of Tallahassee, Florida.
