Downtown Bainbridge was abuzz with activity on Saturday, as First Port City Bank held a grand community event celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The day’s events kicked off at Willis Park gazebo, with the Grace Church worship group and Gatsby Gang Jazz Band providing musical performances. Along with the music, the Bainbridge Humane Society was present, adopting animals to new homes, alongside the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Just down the street, at the Hook and Ladder, a petting zoo and pony rides had been set up by Redemptive Love Farm. For the rest of the afternoon, live music was performed at the Hook and Ladder, with performances from Dirty Bird and the Flu, Steve Harrell & the Dusty Boots Band, Kevin Whoo, and Baby Gray. Drinks and a football screen were also set up at the Hook and Ladder.
On top of the music and family activities, visitors could also participate in a $500 giveaway, by dining at any one of the participating downtown restaurants and visiting 15 of the participating downtown stores.
