Reynolds, Warren nominated for Dooley Award

Bainbridge High School Athletic Director Ed Pilcher named Ben Reynolds and Frankie Warren as Bainbridge High School’s nominees for the prestigious “Vincent J. Dooley Award.”
The Dooley Awards, which are given by “Athletes for a Better World” in partnership with the Georgia High School Association, are presented to one male and one female senior in every high school in Georgia who best display character, teamwork and citizenship, the attributes Athletes for a Better World deems central to transforming individuals, sports and society.
“These students represent excellence both on and off the field, and are role models as performers and persons,” Pilcher said in a news release.
Reynolds, son of John and Jean Reynolds, is a member of the varsity football team and wrestling squad and was nominated by Coach Pilcher.
Warren, daughter of Jim and Liv Warren, is a member of BHS’ cross country, swimming, and track and field teams was nominated by cross-country coach Mandi O’Mara.
Reynolds and Warren have been scholar athletes each year and have actively participated in numerous community service endeavors.
The recipients of the Dooley Awards in every high school will automatically become candidates for a four-year, $1,000-per-year college scholarship.
Scholarships will be given to one male and one female at a Sunday afternoon Braves baseball game. In addition, the scholarship recipients will be given $1,000, which they will donate to one or more non-profit organization.
