W. Clay Campbell, president of Archbold Health Services, recently announced the appointment of Regenia Jones as the administrator for Hospice of Southwest Georgia.

Jones started her career in home health care in 1981 as a certified nurse assistant with Visiting Nurses Association, which joined Archbold’s network of services in 1987. She worked with VNA for more than 18 years before transferring to Hospice of Southwest Georgia’s Bainbridge office, where she most recently served as area manager.

Jones received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Darton College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas University. She also received national certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse earlier this year.

“I am excited about this opportunity and the learning experience that it will bring,” said Jones. “I have a passion for Hospice and its mission and love working with the staff to provide the best quality in end-of-life care. I have worked with most of the staff in Thomasville for several years. We are already a team and share a vision.”

In her new role, Jones will have management responsibility for the entire Hospice program. She will be responsible for the development and growth of Hospice services, promote the hospice mission and assist with community image, ensure state, federal, Joint Commission and all regulatory guidelines are followed and oversee Hospice personnel.

Hospice of Southwest Georgia provides comprehensive care and support for terminally ill patients and their family members, all within the familiar surroundings of the patient’s residence and in a manner to maximize comfort and preserve dignity. Emotional support is provided for family members during the illness and following the loss of the loved one.

Hospice of Southwest Georgia services several counties in south Georgia including Thomas, Grady, Mitchell, Brooks, Colquitt, Baker, Decatur, Seminole, Miller, Clay, Calhoun and Early counties.
