The funeral service for Alton Eugene “Peanut” Brock, 68, of Bainbridge, will be held Thursday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jeff Stapleton officiating. Interment will be at Brock Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.

Born Jan. 19, 1943 in Bainbridge, Mr. Brock died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of Homer Anderson Brock and Lottie Harris Brock. He was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School, a member of the VFW Post 4904 and The American Legion Post 62. Mr. Brock served in the United States Army and was the owner and operator of Brock’s Tree of Treasures.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Diane White Brock of Bainbridge; his son, Alton Brock and his wife, Jennifer, of Bainbridge; his daughter, Kim Brock of Palm Harbor, Fla.; his brothers, Brady Brock of Moultrie, Howard Brock of Bainbridge, Joe Brock of Leesburg, Ronald Brock and Donald Brock, both of Sylvester; his sister, Molly Young of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Brock and Andrew Brock; and his dog, Molly Brock.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
