Seminole Ramlins

Whew! Dog days are here on Seminole and it’s so hot the crickets and bullfrogs won’t even make a sound. The bream must be a bitin’. We’ve sold the fire outta crickets here at Wingate’s.
Pam and Steven Wells sure have caught some good bream. I don’t know how they can stand the heat but they did and it paid off.
The Talquin Hookers fished out of Wingate’s on Saturday. We tried to get them to quit early but they wouldn’t hear of it. Linda Chellete won it with 4.85 pounds, Mercia Brown caught 4.75 pounds for second place, Sheila Brust took third with 3.69 pounds and Lonnie Walsh came in fourth with 2.87 pounds.
Steve Culverson and David Butler of Bainbridge caught a limit of nice bream on crickets and saw 15 beds on the main lake between Whiddon Springs and Wingate’s.
I’ve been feeling poorly here lately so this week’s article is short. Hopefully I’ll feel better next week.
