Funeral services for William Davis “Bill” Morgan were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Webb officiating.

Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens, with Paul Goodwin, Will Goodwin, Dennis Sauls, Tip Morgan, Kyle Gunner and Rob Lanford serving as active pallbearers.

Born Oct. 31, 1952, in Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Morgan died on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.

Mr. Morgan was a binder assembler with the Georgia Factory for the Blind. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Council for the Blind, Federation for the Blind and an avid Braves baseball fan. He had lived in Bainbridge since 1984, moving from Lawrenceville, Ga.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Evelyn Patricia Morgan of Bainbridge; one step-daughter, Vicky Reene McCuen of Williamsburg, Va.; three sisters, Nancy Sauls of Elijay, Ga., Patti Lanford of Covington, Ga., and Dana Goodwin of Snellville, Ga.; a brother, Tom Morgan of Marietta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
