Wiley Hunter

Graveside services for Wiley W. Hunter, 86, of Donalsonville, Ga., were Monday, Nov. 16, at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla., with Masonic rites delivered by members of Amelia Lodge No. 47, and military honors were carried out by the U.S. Navy.

Born on July 3, 1923, in Jasper, Fla., Mr. Hunter died on Nov. 14, 2009, at his residence. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville, Ga., and Amelia Lodge No. 47 of Fernandina Beach, Fla. He retired from Georgia Pacific in 1989. He had served his country in the U.S. Navy, and enjoyed hunting and gardening, and he was an avid fly fisherman.

Mr. Hunter is survived by his daughter, Gale Hunter Weber, and her husband, Thomas, of Cartersville, Ga.; one brother, Cole Hunter of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, June Wolfe and her husband, Herb, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Gerry Shrout of Ormond Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of arrangements.
