Funeral services for Christine D. Pollock, 84, of Bainbridge, were held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Morningside Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Dean and Joe Hart officiating.
Interment followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens with David Pollock, Durwood Pollock, Sam Pollock, Eddie Johnson, Mickey Blewett, Leonard Dean and Tony Christopher serving as active pallbearers.
Born July 11, 1925, in Decatur County, Mrs. Pollock died on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.
A lifelong resident of Decatur County, Mrs. Pollock taught Sunday School for many years at Dellwood Baptist Church and Morningside Baptist Church where she was a charter member. She graduated from Mount Pleasant School, loved crocheting, making dolls, sewing and reading.
Mrs. Pollock was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Pollock; sisters, Fannie Bell Dean and Janie Anderton; and brothers Crafton Dean, Hoover Dean and Roy Boutwell.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Pollock and Gail Pollock Wells, both of Bainbridge; one son, Jerry Eugene Pollock of Bainbridge; one sister, Jeanette Martin of Tallahassee, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
