Edna Henderson

A funeral service for Edna Raphine Henry Henderson, 53, of Bainbridge, was held Saturday, Aug. 29, at First African Baptist Church with the Rev. J.C. Jackson officiating.
Interment followed at Mount Olive Cemetery with Demond Frazier, Theodore Rogers, Deacon Winston Rollins, Lorenzo Rogers, John Rollins Jr. and Darryl Walker serving as active pallbearers.
Born March 31, 1956, in Bainbridge, Mrs. Henderson died on Aug. 23, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Henderson attended the public schools of Decatur County and enjoyed taking care of her relatives. During her life, she worked at Columbia Peanut Mill, Whigham Nursing Home, Elberta Crate and Box Company and Amoco Fabric and Fibers.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Henderson; three sons, Tommie Henderson, Calvin Henderson and Theodore Henderson; five sisters, Gloria Jean Starks, Mary Lois Webb and Wylla Henry, all of Bainbridge, Ruby L. Gelsey of Jacksonville, Fla., and Josephine Walker of Albany, Ga.; a brother Alfred Joe Henry of Bainbridge; a grandson and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.
