Funeral services for Shirley Goodman Reeves, 73, of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held Friday, May 29, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Bell and Charles Barineau officiating.
Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Steve Baker, Curtis Lambert III, Wayne Harden, Allen Powell, Charles Clemon Jr. and Anthony Bjorklin serving as active pallbearers.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Born in Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 8, 1935, Mrs. Reeves died on Monday, May 25, 2009, at Donalsonville Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Arlington, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Crawford Lambert; three brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by four daughters, Karren Elliot of Donalsonville, Kristal Weaver of Arlington, Ga., Wendy Bates of Des Moines, Iowa, and Gail Mundy of Virginia; six sons, Curtis Lambert of Albany, Ga.; Lee Lambert of Donalsonville, Dale Reeves of Waycross, Ga.; Robert Reeves of Mississippi; Wayne Reeves of Blackshear, Ga., and Manuel Tibbets of Virginia; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville is in charge of funeral arrangements.
