Phillip Ivey

Funeral services for Phillip Ivey, 62, of Jasper, Fla., were held on Monday, May 11, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Fred Odom officiating.
Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Ben Ison, Matt Still, Brant Ison, Blaine Ison, James Ivey Jr. and Vance Ledbetter serving as active pallbearers.
Born in Donalsonville on April 23, 1947, Mr. Ivey died Friday, May 8, 2009, at Lake City, Va., Hospital. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, he was awarded certificates as a marksman, sharpshooter and expert shooter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Merle Collins; and a brother, Rother Ivey.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Ivey of Jasper, Fla.; two daughters, Demonica Ivey Ison of Naples, Fla., and Julie Ivey Still of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, James Ivey of Naples, Fla.; a sister, June Ingram of Panama City, Fla.; two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
