Funeral services for Essie Mae Roberts Love, 85, Bainbridge, will be held Monday, May 11, at 2 p.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating.
Interment will follow at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Jimbo Kovacs, Telly Love, Wayne Holcombe, Robert Love, Arthur Love, Rhett Sousa, Stevie Kovacs, Jenny Muriel, Crissy Bain, Krista Letchworth and Kristen Kovacs serving as active pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home.
Born Dec. 23, 1923, in Decatur County, Mrs. Love died on Friday, May 8, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.
A lifelong resident of Decatur County, she worked for McCory’s 5 & 10, Jack Winter and TG&Y. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Love.
Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine “Gerrie” Littleton of Bainbridge and Madine Dukes of Brinson; two sons, James Kovacs of Donalsonville and Arthur D. “Dee” Love of Bainbridge; a sister, Effie R. Turnage of Bainbridge; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
