Funeral services for Loraine “Cooter” Gordon, 60, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, March 28, at Union Missionary Baptist Church in West Bainbridge, with the Rev. Johnny Brown officiating.

Interment followed at Conyers Cemetery in Climax with Whitney Tyler, Gregory Jackson, Graig Close, Master Tyler, Ronald Gordon and Ronald Tyler serving as active pallbearers.

Born on Nov. 8, 1948, Mrs. Gordon died on Sunday, March 22.

Preceding Mrs. Gordon in death were her husband, Earlie Gordon, and her father, Mark “Sid” Johnson.
Survivors include her mother, Rossie Robinson; two daughters, Carolyn Jackson and Laplachue Burroughs; three sons, Whitney, Master and Juan Tyler; two stepsons, Ronald Gordon and Ervin Gordon; three stepdaughters, Cassandra Dawson, Lasonja and Shinita Gordon; three brothers, Ellis, Henry and Isadore Johnson; five sisters, Lessie Close, Lucille Johnson, Linda Johnson, Brenda Johnson and Michelle Brunson; fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
