Cutis Butler

Funeral services for Mrs. Cutis Mae Williams Butler, 81, of Bainbridge, were held Sunday, March 15, at Pine Hill M.B.C., with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Mount Olive Cemetery, with Spencer Butler, James Butler, Mozell Butler III, Cornelius Butler, Terrance Butler and Lonniell Smart Jr. serving as active pallbearers.
Mrs. Williams was born March 27, 1927 in Decatur County. She passed away on March 11, 2009 at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Pine Hill M.B.C., where she served as a Sunday School teacher, president of the Deaconess Board, member of the Mission Department and Mother of the Church. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Stars–Pride of Bainbridge.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Mozell Butler Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Mozell Butler Jr. and Jerry Butler, both of Bainbridge; two daughters, Tynesee Butler, Tena Butler, both of Bainbridge; a brother, Waymon Williams of Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Rosetta Gadson of Holly Hill, Fla., Jeraldine Anderson of Bainbridge, Annie Doris Miller of Tampa, Fla., and Pecola Howard of Ft. Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
