John Dunlap

Memorial services for John G. “Jerry” Dunlap, 67, of Colquitt, Ga., will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Evans-Skipper.

Born in Daytona Beach, Fla., on May 28, 1941 to Mary Elizabeth Sculley Dunlap and the late Charles Earnest Dunlap, Mr. Dunlap died on Saturday, Jan. 24, at his residence.

Mr. Dunlap served in the U.S. Army, and he was a retired minister, businessman and a farmer. He served as a missionary to Israel for four years, and was a caretaker of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Smith for 18 years. He was a member of The Word Say Ministry.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Dunlap of Colquitt, Ga.; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Sculley Dunlap; two daughters, Jackie D. Broome of Donalsonville, Ga., and Wendy D. Stone of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Joel Dunlap of Athens, Ga., and Jimmy Dunlap of Ocholoknee, Ga.; a sister, Dixie Westerland of Victoria, Va., and three grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
