Osie Johnson

Funeral services for Osie Johnson, 96, of Bainbridge were held Saturday, Dec. 27, at the First African Baptist Church with the Revs. A.L. Thompson and Harry Mitchell officiating.
Interment followed at Pineview Cemetery in Bainbridge with friends of the family serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were deacons and trustees of First African Baptist Church.
Born in Plant City, Fla., Mr. Johnson was educated at Hutto High School in Bainbridge and the Georgia Tailoring School in Los Angeles, Calif. He did hotel work in Georgia and Florida, and real estate in California for 13 years. He was a member of the Church of the Living since 1988 and then the First African Baptist Church since 2005 upon his return to Bainbridge, where he resided at Willow Ridge Assisted Living Facility.
Mr. Johnson is survived by a son, Stephen Johnson; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several cousins.
Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
