Funeral services for Joyce Ann Norred Brown, 67, of Bainbridge, were held Monday, Oct. 20, at New Fountainhead Baptist Church with the Revs. James Henry “Hank” Williams Jr. and Bruce Hoose officiating.

Interment followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens with Bo King, Steve King, David Stewart, Albert Maxam, Hugh McElroy, John Jenson, Sandy Bridges serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Danelle Craft, Leann Brown, Walter Maxma, Adam Maxam, Loriann Brown, Shelby Craft, Ladon Craft, Alex Craft, T.J. Freeman, Jason Skinner, Matthew Skinner, Kathy Ard, Jimmy Ard and Micky Freeman.

Mrs. Brown was born in Decatur County, Ga., and passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at her residence.

She lived in Bainbridge most of her life moving to Tampa, Fla., with her husband and back to Bainbridge in 1972. She was a member of New Fountainhead Baptist Church and a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Brown.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Gordon of Bainbridge and Sherry Maxam of Cairo, Ga.; three sons, Danny Brown and Michael Brown, both of Bainbridge and Gary Brown of Leesburg, Ga.; three sisters, Nettie Glover of Camilla, Ga., Grace McElroy of Liberty, S.C., and Mary Bridges of Brinson, Ga.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
