In his press conference on the oil leak in the Gulf, President Obama gave a glimpse of how government delivered health care will look.

Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal submitted a plan over two weeks ago to build sandbars to intercept the oil slicks before they hit the fragile marshlands. Over two weeks later, President Obama stated that the Corps of Engineers was reviewing the plan. This is the same Corps of Engineers that managed the failed levies in New Orleans and drained Lake Lanier during the one of the worst drought in Georgia’s recent history.

What should have happened was for President Obama to call Gov. Jindal and tell him that the Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and any other resource is at his disposal to work with the state engineers on a plan to save the Gulf Coast.

Instead of action and solutions, Gov. Jindal and the people on the Gulf have to sit and watch disaster strike while the government reviews their plan, points fingers and still gives no answers.

Government run health care will be the same way. Government agencies will debate with each other while the health of the patient goes downhill.
