The rodeo is coming back to town.
Building off the success of last year’s inaugural Decatur County Family Connection Port City Rodeo, plans were announced Monday that event will return in September.
A new major sponsor was announced as well as a new location.
Southwest Georgia Farm Credit will be the 2010 Major Corporate Sponsor and this year’s event will be held at a ranch owned by Daniel Barnard. The ranch is located on Highway 27 North about eight miles outside the Bainbridge city limits and will be held on Sept. 10 and 11.
“Our staff is excited to play an important role in this event,” said Richard Monson, chief executive officer of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit. “We’re honored to work with the Decatur County Family Connection and pleased that folks in our area can experience such a great evening of fun and entertainment, knowing they are supporting such a worthy cause.”
The rodeo is a major fund-raiser for the Decatur County Family Connection that support numerous programs and projects that help Decatur County’s children and families.
