Funeral services for Willie James Hollie, 76, of Fowlstown, Ga., were held Monday, July 5, at Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Fowlstown with the Rev. Adren Bivins Sr. officiating.
Interment followed in the church’s cemetery with Abraham Bivins, Daniel Bivins, Duron Breedlove, Justin Griffin, Laron Hamilton, Kenneth Roseborough, Phillip Wilkins and Desmond Dion Wright serving as active pallbearers.
Born June 3, 1934, in Fort Gaines, Ga., Mr. Hollie died on June 28, 2010, at Bainbridge Healthcare.
Mr. Hollie was a pulpwood truck driver by trade.
He was preeded in death by two brothers, Stephen Hollie Jr. and Johnny Lee Hollie.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Nell Lanier and Hazel Hollie, both of Gretna, Fla.; a son, Willie James Taylor of Orlando, Fla.; four sisters, Annie Bea Jefferson and Phyllis Williams, both of Fowlstown, Mattie Rea Wilkins of Kissimmee, Fla., and Nora Wilkins of Bellwood, Ill.; a special friend, Flossie Mae Burke; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
