The Grace Christian Academy Cougars soccer team continues to play well.
On Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA soccer field, they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Georgia Christian School Generals from Valdosta.
The Cougars, who are 4-3 overall and 2-0 in Panhandle Christian Conference East Region play, had nine shots on goal, three each by Kyle Harris and Taylor McDonald, and one each by Chase Harris, Bryce McQuaid and Rachel Harrell.
The Generals’ three goals were scored by Austin Holton on a penalty kick following a handball inside the penalty box in the fifth minute, Andres Zermeno Gil on a shot high into the top right corner of the net in the 15th minute and an unassisted own goal by Georgia Christian defender intending to clear the ball from an unattended net in the 44th minute.
