Christmas appeal for needy children
Published 8:00 am Friday, December 9, 2011
Every year during the holiday season the Teresa Diane Young Foundation and the Bainbridge Housing Authority ask the community for help with their annual Christmas assistance program.
These two organizations work cooperatively throughout the year to make sure the disadvantaged, abused, homeless and disabled persons in the community receive basic services, including housing, food, clothing and access to basic medical care.
During the holiday season special efforts are made to be sure that the children in these families, in difficult circumstances through no fault of their own, are able to experience the joy of Christmas.
Donations of toys, new clothing or shoes, non-perishable food and holiday related goods are needed. Donations of these items are truly appreciated.
