Graveside services for Willie Clifford “Jimmy” Cooper, 63, of Climax, Ga., were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at Open Pond Cemetery in Climax.

Mr. Cooper was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Climax, and died Oct. 16, 2010, in Tallahassee, Fla.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie M. Cooper and Frances Cooper; and three brothers, Lathan, Eddie and Elick Cooper.

Survivors include three sons, Chauncey Williams of El Paso, Texas, John R. Cooper of Sanford, Fla., and Willie C. Cooper II of Cairo; three daughters, Erica Smart of Bainbridge, Kimberly L. Cooper of Denver, Colo., and Ashley Cooper of Cairo; a close friend, Barbara Marvick; two brothers, Quinton Cooper of Climax, and Tommy Cooper of Duluth, Ga.; and one sister, Iona Rice of Miami, Fla.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
