Letha and James Jackson of Climax, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Carletha Robertson, to Devetriss Chukes of Attapulgus.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Katrina Leonard of Climax and the late Event Leonard.

She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1998 and will begin school in January to study radiology. She is employed at Network Bar & Grill in Bainbridge.

Mr. Chukes is the son of Felicia Chukes and Alvin Marshell of Attapulgus. His grandparents are Winfred Chukes of Havana, Fla., and the late Francenia Chukes.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School and is attending Bainbridge College studying business. He is employed at Elberta Crate and Box Company.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. at the Greater Mount Calvary Church in Climax. The wedding and reception are by invitation only.
