Climax has a history of producing outstanding students, with unusual projects.
Jeremiah Rogers is another example of what dedication and hard work can do.
Young Rogers lives on Earl Hester Road in Climax and is a third-grade student at Potter Street Elementary. This year he participated in the Bonnie Plants agriculture classroom project at Potter Street, growing a giant, mega cabbage that weighs around 8 pounds in a period of 85 days.
In September, he plans to enter his giant mega cabbage in the state competition.
In 2010 another Climax student, Julian Martin, entered his mega cabbage in the state competition and was the State of Georgia winner receiving a $1,000 scholarship. Martin was honored recently for this win.
Congratulations to our Climax outstanding students Martin and now Jeremiah Rogers for reaching for those high goals.
