Southwest Georgia Academy tops Terrell

The Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors picked up a win Friday night over their rivals, the Terrell Academy Eagles, beating them by a score of 28-21, in Dawson, Ga.
The Warriors had 336 total yards of offense while the Eagles only had 209 total yards. Junior running back Will Warren had 31 rushing attempts for 302 yards and three touchdowns. Senior running back Corey Smith rushed for 29 yards on two attempts and had a touchdown for the Warriors.
The defense of the Warriors stayed strong to pull out the win. Sophomore linebacker Cabe Rathel led the Warrior defense with three solo tackles and three assists. Junior defensive end Davis Ponder disrupted the Eagles passing game with two sacks, and the Warrior secondary had three interceptions.
