Bainbridge Public Safety officers honored former Decatur County Fire and Rescue Chief Billy Griffin by displaying a large American flag over Calhoun Street as his funeral procession passed by at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Griffin was a firefighter for a total of 44 years, working for both the city and county fire departments at different times. He retired from Fire and Rescue in 2005. A number of local fire trucks and law enforcement cars joined the procession from Ivey Funeral Home to the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
