Ewing named president of First Port City Bank

First Port City Bank promoted Scott Ewing this week to president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Ewing has been with FPCB since 2010 and has 16 years of banking experience.
“It means a lot to me that the board has faith in me to be able to do this job,” Ewing said. “It’s what I’ve been preparing for my whole career. I’m confident in my experience and the support I’ve had throughout my career that has set me up for success.”
Ewing is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a bachelor’s of business administration degree and is a graduate of both the University of Georgia Banking School and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
Ewing said that his experience working in difference banks with different environments has sharpened his skills and preparing him to run and operate FPCB. His immediate goal for the bank is to stay on path and grow its assets within the Bainbridge community.
“I look forward to the challenge,” Ewing said.
In addition to his banking duties, Ewing serves as chairman of the Decatur Count Family Connection Board and he is an Advisory Board member of the Salvation Army, and past chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA.
Ewing and his wife, Monica, are members of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge and are expecting their first child in March.
