Lady Cougars fall to Terrell Academy

Grace’s Lady Cougars had a rough time against Terrell Academy at home on Friday, Feb. 10. Terrell jumped out to an early lead, and never let off the gas. The Lady Cougars lost 55-24.
Terrell took the lead in the first quarter, and then poured on more offense for the rest of the game. At the end of the first quarter, Terrell was ahead 16-5. At the end of the second quarter, they were ahead 28-9.
After halftime, Grace’s luck didn’t change. Terrell put up another double-digit quarter and held Grace to single digits. At the end of the third quarter, the score was 41-17. The fourth quarter was not different than the three quarters preceding it. Terrell yet again held Grace to single digit scoring and spread the gap between the two teams to reach the 55-24 final score.
Not only did Grace fail to get in double-digit scoring in any of the four quarters, they also did not have a single player in double-digits for the game. The leading scorer was Caroline Wells with six points, followed by Mikey Harrell with five.
