Bainbridge Cross Country competes at state meet

The Bearcats and Ladycats competed in the GHSA 4A State Championship Invitational over the weekend. The Carrollton meet was held on Saturday.
The Bearcats finished 25th overall as a team with a score of 708. The team had seven runners compete and an average time of 20:31.
Senior Jahlae Sapp led the Bearcats with a 72nd-place finish and 18:33.44 time.
The Bearcats entered the state meet as GHSA 4A Region 1 runners-up from a week before. The team was 9 points away from taking first place and had the top two finishers in the meet — Sapp and senior Caden Godwin.
The Ladycats finished 22nd overall as a team with a score of 604. The team had six runners compete and an average time of 27:35.
Senior Hayden Klock led the Ladycats with a 96th-place finish and 25:42.54 time.
The Ladycats entered the state meet as GHSA 4A Region 1 champions.
