Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wooten have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Wooten, to Paul Brackman, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Brackman. Amanda is a 2014 graduate of Bainbridge High School, and graduated from the University of Georgia in 2018 with a major in Risk Management and Insurance. Paul graduated from Woodward Academy in 2010, before graduating from the University of Georgia in 2015 with majors in physics and French. Amanda currently works as an insurance underwriter, while Paul works as an x-ray systems product manager.

Amanda is the granddaughter of Willard and Vera Wooten, David “Pete” Smith, and Shirley Buckhalter. Paul is the grandson of Robert and Norma Smith, and Emory and Elise Brackman.

The wedding is scheduled for October 19, 2024, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Emma Corbin and Jalyn Mills have been named as bridesmaids, and Thomas Corbin and Elliott Kaduck as the groomsmen. David Brackman will officiate.
