GCA Cougars, Lady Cougars down Robert F. Munroe

The Grace Christian Academy Cougars and Lady Cougars basketball teams continued their recent winning streaks.
On Tuesday, Dec. 9, coach Mallory McRae’s Cougars defeated the Robert F. Munroe School Bobcats 54-24 and coach Erwin Harrell’s Lady Cougar s defeated the Robert F. Munroe School Lady Bobcats 43-33 at Perry Memorial Gymnasium.
The Cougars were led by Jack McRae with 21 points, Sam McRae with 10 points, and Tra Webb with eight points
The Lady Cougars were led by Perra Harrell with 20 points and 17 rebounds and Kaitlyn Holcombe with nine points. Kelsey Harrell had six rebounds.
“We didn’t do a good job of rebounding and we didn’t shoot the ball well,” McRae said after the boys’ game. “We will have to work on those things as we move forward.”
A day earlier on Monday, Dec. 8, the Lady Cougars dropped a tight 59-55 decision to the Aucilla Christian School Lady Warriors at home. Perra Harrell led them with 30 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Lindsey Duke had eight points and Kelsey Harrell had six rebounds and five steals.
On Thursday, Dec. 11, the Lady Cougars dropped a close 35-33 decision to the Brookwood School Lady Warriors. Perra Harrell led the Lady Cougars with nine points, 12 rebounds and six steals and Kelsey Harrell had four steals.
