Grace Christian Academy beats Robert F. Munroe

Sam McRae’s career night led the Grace Christian Academy Cougars to victory over the Robert F. Munroe Bobcats 61-45 on Tuesday. McRae scored a school record 40 points in the victory breaking a three way tie of players who had scored 38 points in a game.
McRae went 15-of-24 from the field and also had 10 rebounds.
The Cougars trailed by one at the end of the first quarter, but took the lead for good in the second when they outscored the Bobcats 16-8 for a 26-19 advantage at halftime. The teams battled back and forth in the third quarter before Grace pulled away in the fourth quarter outscoring the Bobcats 22-15.
Grace’s second leading scorer was Nate Walton with six points. Walton also had six rebounds in the game. Jared Duke had four points, four rebounds and two assists. Clay Wells also had four points. Grace returns to the court Tuesday, Jan. 24 with a road game at Crisp Academy in Cordele.
