Miss Powell and Mr. Hollingsworth will exchange vows May 27

April Suzanne Powell and Christian Tyler Hollingsworth are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. Denwell “Dennie” Wayne Powell Jr. and his wife Susan Powell, of Bainbridge, and the granddaughter of Edwin and Bernice Boyd and the late Wayne and Charlotte Powell, all of Bainbridge

Miss Powell was homeschooled and graduated in 2015. She is attending

Bainbridge State College, where she is majoring in Early Childhood Education and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She is employed as a teacher at Morningside C.W.E Preschool.

The groom-to-be is the son of Willis Wayne Hollingsworth Jr. and his wife Michelle Hollingsworth of Grand Haven, Michigan, and the grandson of Milton and Alecia Harrison of Bainbridge, Kay Hollingsworth of Pelham and the late Wayne Willis Hollingsworth Sr.

Mr. Hollingsworth graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2016. He is attending Bainbridge State College to obtain his certification as an electrician, and works as a sales associate at Badcock Home Furniture.

The wedding is planned for May 27 at 5 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church of Bainbridge. The reception will follow in The Old Library in Bainbridge.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
