Points to remember; the private sector versus the governmint, the formala for making Coca-Cola is still a secret locked in their vaults in Atlanta for over 100 years.
The Kentucky Fried Chicken original recipe is still a secret after all these years, while the formala for making a Hydrogen Bomb is on the Internet!
The dedication of the Mega Ramps on Wednesday by Governor Perdue and Senator Bulloch, county and city officials, with Mayor Reynolds, Master of Ceremonies had a great turnout and was a great success for the entire State of Georgia. As these ramps are in many places, Les Ager, a game warden was where the idea came from, he was at the weigh-in today. Many thanks to you, Les.
The Bass Junior Federation Tournament was held at Wingate’s on Saterday from safe daylite to 2 p.m. The Hydrilla Gnats fed everyone hot dogs, hamburgers, venison sausages and soda pop. The top fisherman was Mathew Mullens, he was a great young man, as were all of the young men. It’s great to see young folks fishen and hunting.
The Bassmaster Southern Open held at the the Boat Basin in Bainbridge had 188 boats launching for two days.
The top 30 made the “The Cut.” The Cut Saterday on the co-angler began with Fred Hood with 18.0 pounds ending with Jim Barnette with 6.0 pounds.
Now the pro-anglers side with Derek Allen with 29.5 pounds, ending with Jeff Cloud at 16.6. The top three on the co-angler side, at the finish: Fred Hood with 18.0 pounds, Steven Wells with 13.3 pounds and Michael Krueger with 12.7 pounds. We need to add the winner took a fully rigged boat, motor and trailer home and all the top 30 got a check.
The top pro-angler, Trevor Fitzgerald finished first with 44.2 pounds, Derek Allen was second with 42.13 pounds, then Clint Brown finished third with 42.0 pounds. It was a great tournament and we hope everyone had a great time.
