Festivities underway for BHS 2015 Homecoming

Ten Bainbridge High School students have been named to the 2015 Homecoming court, and one will be crowned Homecoming Queen Friday at the Bainbridge football game at Centennial Field.
Four students will be representing the seniors: Talyor Bush, daughter of Lane and Lee Bush, Asia Gordon, daughter of Katherine Samuel and Anthony Gordon, Jasmine Jones, daughter of Tony and Joyce Jones, and Kady Kirkland, daughter of Bill and Amanda Kirkland.
Juniors on the court are Keyaire Jones, daughter of Gayle Jones and Keith Calloway, and Haley Thompson, daughter of Amanda Haifa.
Students in the sophomore class are Morgan Anderson, daughter of Donald and Shellie Anderson, and Marion Bruton, daughter of Felicia Chukes and Kevin Bruton.
The two students in the freshman class are Makayla Hamilton, daughter of Therice Cull and Rodrick Hamilton, and Darley Brock, daughter of Shannon and Tina Brock.
The 2015 Homecoming King is Dylan Harris, the grandson of Marilyn Melton.
This week is full of festivities to celebrate Homecoming in Bainbridge.
Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m., the annual Homecoming parade will march its way down Shotwell Street to the Willis Park square. Those who want to watch the fun can find a spot along the street and enjoy festive floats, the Homecoming court and a performance from the Bearcat Band.
Friday, the Bainbridge football team kicks off against the Westover Patriots at Centennial Field at 7:30 p.m. During halftime, the Homecoming queen will be announced and crowned.
The BHS Homecoming Dance will take place Saturday at the Bainbridge Gmynasium.
